Igor Kaidashev, MD, PhD
is Professor of Allergy and Immunology at the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy in Poltava, Ukraine. In addition, Dr. Kaidashev is the Head of the Internal Diseases Department and the Head of the Central Research Laboratory at the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy.
Dr. Kaidashev’s fields of research interest include in vivo and in vitro diagnostic procedures; therapy of allergic and immunological diseases; clinical applications of immunomodulators; reactions to dentistry materials; immune mechanisms of periodontitis; the role of apoptosis in mechanisms of allergic and autoimmune diseases; genesis of the metabolic syndrome including immunologic therapy; and clinical investigation of new drugs.
Dr. Kaidashev has published over 310 papers and abstracts including 65 in international journals and over 240 in Ukrainian and Russian medical journals, chapters in books on allergy and immunology including 4 in Russian and Ukrainian. Dr. Kaidashev is editor of the books “Tissue regulative peptides” (2000, Russian) and “Regulation of activity of lymphoid cell membranes” (2004, Russian). Igor currently serves on the editorial board of the Russian Edition of the journal Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the official journal of the World Allergy Organization (WAO),
Dr. Kaidashev serves as the Vice-President of the Ukrainian Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology since 2003 and is a member of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology since 2000. He is also an international member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of INTERASMA.
